We value the trust you place in UOOVIP. That's why we insist upon your reading these Terms of Use carefully. The Terms of Use and policies about Privacy, Fees, Payments, Promotions, Delivery, Returns and Refund together shall form the entire Terms of Use.

1. What is this Document?

1.1 These terms of use, read together with the (i) privacy policy, (ii) fee and payment policy, (iii) delivery policy, (iv) promotions policy, and (v) return and refund policy constitute a legal and binding agreement between you and Reliance Retail Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong.

1.2. The Agreement, inter alia, provides the terms that govern your access to use (i) UOOVIP’s website www.uoovip.com, and its mobile and tablet applications (“Platforms”), (iii) UOOVIP’s online lifestyle, fashion and electronics solutions, which inter alia facilitates sale and purchase of electronics, and lifestyle and fashion merchandise (“Products”) through the Platforms, and (iv) the purchase of Products, and any other service that may be provided by UOOVIP from time to time (collectively referred to as the “Services”).

1.3. You hereby understand and agree that the Agreement forms a binding contract between UOOVIP and anyone who accesses, browses, or purchases the Products and uses the Services in any manner (“User”) and accordingly, you hereby agree to be bound by the terms contained in the Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms contained in the Agreement, you are advised not to proceed with purchasing the Products or using the Services. The terms contained in the Agreement shall be accepted without modification. The use of the Services would constitute acceptance of the terms of the Agreement.

2. Terms and Conditions Applicable to Users

2.1. Users must be 18 years of age or older to register, or visit or use the Services in any manner. By registering, visiting or using the Services, you hereby represent and warrant to UOOVIP that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you have the right, authority and capacity to use the Services, and agree to abide by the Agreement. If a User is below 18 years of age, it is assumed that he/she is using/browsing the Platforms under the supervision of his/her parent or legal guardian and that such User’s parent or legal guardian has read and agrees to the terms of this Agreement, including terms of purchase of Products, on behalf of the minor User. Should UOOVIP be made aware that a User is under the age of 18 and is using/browsing the Platforms without the supervision of his/her parent or legal guardian, UOOVIP reserves the right to deactivate such User’s account without further notice.

2.2. The Agreement is governed by the provisions of Hong Kongn law, including, but not limited to:

2.2.1. the Hong Kongn Contract Act, 1872;

2.2.2. the Information Technology Act, 2000;

2.2.3. the rules, regulations, guidelines and clarifications framed thereunder, including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPI Rules”) and;

2.2.4. the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011 (“IG Rules”).

2.3. The contents of Services, information, text, graphics, images, logos, button icons, software code, interface, design and the collection, arrangement and assembly of the content on the Platforms or any of the other Services are the property of UOOVIP, its parent company, group companies, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates, suppliers, vendors and sister companies, as the case may be (“UOOVIP Content”), and are protected under copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. You shall not modify the UOOVIP Content or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, reverse engineer or otherwise use the UOOVIP Content in any way for any public or commercial purpose or for personal gain.

2.4. UOOVIP authorises you to view and access the UOOVIP Content solely for identifying Products, carrying out purchases of Products and processing returns and refunds, in accordance with Return and Refund Policy, if any. UOOVIP, therefore, grants you a limited, revocable permission to access and use the Services. This permission does not include a permission for carrying out any resale of the Products or commercial use of the UOOVIP Content, any collection and use of product listings, description, or prices, and, any derivative use of the Platforms or of UOOVIP Content.

2.5. As means to assist the Users in identifying the Products of their choice, UOOVIP provides visual representations on the Platforms including graphics, illustrations, photographs, images, videos, charts, screenshots, infographics and other visual aids. While reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate visual representations, UOOVIP disclaims any guarantee or warranty of exactness of such visual representation or description of the Product, with the actual Product ultimately delivered to Users. The appearance of the Product when delivered may vary for various reasons.

2.6. Users may make purchases on the Platforms. For the purposes of identifying a User, UOOVIP may, from time to time, collect certain personally identifiable information such as your first name and last name, email address, mobile phone number, postal address, other contact information, demographic profile, etc. Users may also register themselves on the Platforms. Registration on the Platforms is one-time and you are required to remember your username and password and keep the same confidential. In the event where you have misplaced your username and password details, you can retrieve and change the same using the “forgot username/password” option on the Platforms.

2.7. The User shall assume all risks, liabilities, and consequences if his/her account has been accessed illegally or without authorisation through means such as hacking and if through such unauthorised access, a purchase of Products has been made through the Services. It is specifically clarified that payments of monies towards any Products purchased through the Services by unauthorised or illegal use of the User’s account shall entirely be borne by the User.

2.8. Display of Products for purchase on the Platforms is merely an invitation to offer. An order placed by a User for purchase of a Product constitutes an offer. All orders placed by Users on the Platforms are subject to the availability of such Product, UOOVIP’s acceptance of the User’s offer and the User’s continued adherence to the terms of the Agreement.

2.9. You agree to maintain and promptly update all data provided by you and to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, incomplete, or if UOOVIP has reasonable grounds to suspect that the information provided by you is untrue, inaccurate, not current, incomplete, or not in accordance with the terms of the Agreement, UOOVIP reserves the right to indefinitely suspend, terminate or block your access to the Platforms, and refuse to provide you with access to the Platforms in future.

2.10. All rights and liabilities of UOOVIP with respect to any Services to be provided by it shall be restricted to the scope of the Agreement. In addition to the Agreement, you shall also ensure that you are in compliance with the terms and conditions of the third parties, whose links are contained/embedded in the Services. It is hereby clarified that UOOVIP shall not be held liable for any transaction between you and any such third parties.

2.11. You understand that on your registration as a User or on your purchase of Products on the Platforms, you may receive text messages (including through internet-based mobile messaging) and/or emails from UOOVIP on your registered mobile number and/or email address. These messages and/or emails could relate inter alia to your registration, UOOVIP’s acceptance or rejection of your offer to purchase a Product, payment information, Product despatch information, information pertaining to other activities you carry out on the Platforms and information pertaining to the promotions that are undertaken by UOOVIP (or third parties in connection with the Platforms) from time to time. It is specifically clarified that a text message and/or an email confirming the receipt of your order is not an acceptance from UOOVIP that the Product will be delivered. UOOVIP’s acceptance to your offer to purchase shall occur and conclude only when the Products have been despatched by UOOVIP and a text message and/or email confirming such despatch has been sent to you. UOOVIP, at all times, reserves the right to limit the quantity of items in, or cancel an order prior to despatch.

2.12. Any communication from UOOVIP shall be sent only to your registered mobile number and/or email address or such other contact number or email address that you may designate, for any particular transaction. You shall be solely responsible to update your registered mobile number and/or email address on the Platforms in the event there is a change. Further, UOOVIP may also send you notifications and reminders with respect to scheduled deliveries of the purchased Products. While UOOVIP shall make every endeavour to share prompt reminders and notifications relating to the delivery of purchased Products with you, UOOVIP shall not be held liable for any failure to send such notifications or reminders to you.

2.13. UOOVIP may, at any time and without having to service any prior notice to you: (i) upgrade, update, change, modify, or improve the Services or a part of the Services in a manner it may deem fit, and (ii) change the contents of the Agreement in substance, or as to procedure or otherwise; in each case which will be applicable to all Users. You hereby agree that this is in the fairness of things given the nature of the business and its operations and you will abide by them. As such, you must keep yourself updated at all times and review the terms of the Agreement from time to time. Such changes shall be made applicable when they are posted. UOOVIP may also alter or remove any content from the Platforms without notice.

2.14. While UOOVIP shall make reasonable endeavours to maintain high standards of security and shall provide the Services by using reasonable efforts, UOOVIP shall not be liable for any interruption that may be caused to your access or use of the Services.

2.15. Access to and registration on the Platforms is free of cost. Although unlikely, UOOVIP may modify the Fee, Payment and Promotions Policy to include a fee on access and browsing of the Platforms, or for use of any new service introduced by UOOVIP without serving prior notice on the Users.

2.16. The Services included on or otherwise made available to the Users through the Platforms are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any representations or warranties, express or implied, except if otherwise specified in writing. UOOVIP does not covenant or warrant that:

2.16.1. the Services will be made available at all times;

2.16.2. the UOOVIP Content available on the Platforms is complete, true, accurate or non-misleading; and

2.16.3. the Products are of specified merchantability, merchantable quality and fit for use for a particular purpose.


The User hereby affirms that the information provided by him / her is true, correct and complete to the best of his / her knowledge and belief. The User agrees and understands that he / she will be solely responsible in the event of any inaccuracy or deviation therefrom at a later stage.

3. User Covenants and Obligations

3.1. As mandated under the provisions of Regulation 3(2) of the IG Rules, UOOVIP hereby informs you that you are prohibited from hosting, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing, transmitting, updating or sharing any information that:

3.1.1. belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;

3.1.2. is grossly harmful, harassing, blasphemous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically objectionable, disparaging, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise harmful in any manner whatsoever;

3.1.3. harms minors in any way;

3.1.4. infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;

3.1.5. violates any law for the time being in force;

3.1.6. deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of such messages or communicates any information which is grossly offensive or menacing in nature;

3.1.7. impersonates or defames another person; or

3.1.8. contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource.

3.2. You are also prohibited from:

3.2.1. violating or attempting to violate the integrity or security of the Platforms or the UOOVIP Content;

3.2.2. transmitting any information on or through the Platforms that is disruptive or competitive to the provision of Services by UOOVIP;

3.2.3. intentionally submitting on the Platforms, false or inaccurate information;

3.2.4. using any engine, software, tool, agent or other mechanism (such as spiders, robots, avatars, worms, time bombs, Easter eggs, cancel bots, intelligent agents, etc.) to navigate or search the Platforms;

3.2.5. attempting to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any part of the Platforms; or

3.2.6. copying or duplicating in any manner any of the UOOVIP Content.

3.3. You are also obligated to:

3.4. You hereby authorise UOOVIP to declare and provide declarations to any Governmental authority on request on your behalf, including that the Products ordered by you are for personal, noncommercial use.

3.5. UOOVIP may disclose or transfer information provided by you to its affiliates in Hong Kong and other countries, and you hereby consent to such transfer. In terms of the SPI Rules, UOOVIP can transfer sensitive personal data or information to any other body corporate or a person that ensures the same level of data protection that is adhered to by UOOVIP as provided for under the SPI Rules, only if such transfer is necessary for the performance of the lawful contract between UOOVIP or any person on its behalf and the User or where you have consented to such data transfer.

4. Third Party Information

4.1. All information in relation to third parties as available on the Platforms (collectively referred to as “Third Party Information”) are provided solely for your reference. UOOVIP is not endorsing the Third Party Information and is not responsible for any errors and representation nor is it associated with it and you shall access the Third Party Information at your own risk.

4.2. Further, it is up to you to take sufficient precautions to ensure that whatever links you select, whether from the Platforms, or other Services, is free of such items such as, but not limited to, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, defects and other items of a destructive nature.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1. All the intellectual property used on the Platforms by UOOVIP, including the UOOVIP Content, shall remain the property of UOOVIP, its parent company, group companies, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates, suppliers, vendors, sister companies or of any third party hosting such intellectual property on the Platforms. Except as provided in the Agreement, the materials may not be modified, copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, sold, compiled, posted or transmitted in any form by any means, including but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or other means, without the prior express written permission of UOOVIP, its parent company, group companies, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates, suppliers, vendors, sister companies or any third party hosting such material on the Platforms, as the case may be.

6. Unlawful or Prohibited Use

You warrant to UOOVIP that you will comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations regarding the use of the Services and any other related activities. You further warrant that you will not use the Platforms in any way prohibited by terms contained in the Agreement or under applicable law.

7. Liability

7.1. You acknowledge and undertake that you are accessing the Services and purchasing the Products at your own risk and that you are using prudent judgment before placing an order for a Product or availing any Services through the Platforms. UOOVIP shall, at no point, be held liable or responsible for any representations or warranties in relation to the Products. Refund of the price paid for the purchase of a Product or replacement thereof shall be governed by the Return and Refund Policy which may be accessed here.

7.2. UOOVIP does not provide or make any representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied about the Platforms, Products or the Services, and all implied warranties under law or contract are to the maximum extent possible hereby disclaimed.

7.3. The maximum aggregate liability of UOOVIP, in respect of all Services provided, and all transactions undertaken by the User by using the Services, shall be limited to a maximum of HK $100 (Hong Kong Dollar one hundred).

8. Indemnity

3.3.1. refrain from acquiring any ownership rights by downloading the UOOVIP Content;

3.3.2. read the Agreement and agree to accept the terms and conditions set out therein;

3.3.3. refrain from copying or modifying the UOOVIP Content available on the Platforms for any purpose;

3.3.4. comply with all applicable laws in connection with your use of the Platforms;

3.3.5. not refuse the delivery of purchased Products except when damages and deficiencies can be identified upfront at the time of delivery; and

3.3.6. use the Products for personal, noncommercial use.

You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless UOOVIP , its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, licensors, agents and representatives from any and all claims, losses, damages, and/or costs (including reasonable attorney fees and costs) arising from (i) your access to or use of the Services or Products, (ii) violation of the Agreement, (iii) infringement, or infringement by any other user of your account with UOOVIP, (iv) action or inaction on behalf of UOOVIP ’s third party affiliates, manufacturers, vendors, suppliers and logistic partners in providing services; and (v) infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity. UOOVIP shall notify you promptly of such claim, loss, liability, or demand, and in addition to your foregoing obligations, you agree to provide UOOVIP with reasonable assistance, at your expense, in defending any such claim, loss, liability, damage or cost.

10. Severability

If any provision of the Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, such invalidity or unenforceability shall attach only to such provision and the remaining part of such provision and all other provisions of the Agreement shall continue to be in full force and effect.

11. Term and Termination

11.1. The Agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use any Service in any form or capacity.

11.2. UOOVIP reserves the right to terminate its Services provided to you in the event of breach of any terms contained in the Agreement, misrepresentation of information, any unlawful activity or if UOOVIP is unable to verify or authenticate any information you submit to it.

11.3. The User may terminate the Agreement at any time, provided that the User discontinues any further use of the Platforms or Services.

11.4. It is specifically clarified that any termination of the Agreement by a User shall not cancel the User’s obligation to pay for a Product purchased on the Platforms, or any other obligation which has accrued, or is unfulfilled and relates to the period, prior to termination.

11.5. Any provision of the Agreement which imposes an obligation or creates a right that by its nature will be valid after termination or expiration of the Agreement shall survive the termination or expiration of the Agreement.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

12.1. The Agreement and any contractual obligation between UOOVIP and you under the Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong.

12.2. All disputes will be subject to arbitration at Hong Kong in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in the Mandarin language. UOOVIP and the disputing User shall be entitled to appoint 1 (one) arbitrator each and the 2 (two) arbitrators so appointed will jointly appoint the 3rd (third) arbitrator.

12.3. Arbitration awards shall be reasoned awards and shall be final and binding on UOOVIP and the disputing User, and shall be enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Waiver

UOOVIP ’s failure to enforce any provision of the Agreement or respond to a breach by a User or User shall in no way imply a waiver of UOOVIP’s right to subsequently enforce any provision of the terms of the Agreement or to act with respect to similar breaches by a User or User.

14. Notices

All notices and communications shall be in writing, in Mandarin and shall be deemed given if delivered personally or by commercial messenger or courier service, or mailed by registered or certified mail (return receipt requested) or sent by email, with due acknowledgment or complete transmission to the following address:

15. Interpretation

15.1. Headings, subheadings, titles, subtitles to clauses, sub-clauses and paragraphs are for information only and shall not form part of the operative provisions of the Agreement and shall be ignored in construing the same.

15.2. Words denoting the singular shall include the plural and words denoting any gender shall include all genders.

15.3. The words “include” and “including” are to be construed without limitation.

Who is Uoovip?


1.Uoovip, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, having its registered office at Hong Kong (“the Company”) offers various retail solutions, including through its website www.uoovip.com and other applications ("Platforms") various online lifestyle, fashion, grocery and electronics solutions, which inter alia facilitates the sale and purchase of products across categories related to fashion & lifestyle, consumer electronics, grocery and general merchandise ("Products") by users of the Platforms ("Users").

2. What is this Privacy Policy?
This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”), together with the terms of use, describes the Company’s policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of the information provided by Users and Visitors (as defined hereinbelow) of the Platforms. The Company shall not use the User’s information in any manner except as provided under this Privacy Policy. Every User who accesses or uses the Platforms shall be bound by this Privacy Policy.

3.1.1. Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000;

3.1.3. Regulation 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011.

3.2 This Privacy Policy sets out the type of information collected from the Users, including the nature of the sensitive personal data or information, the purpose, means and modes of usage of such information and how and to whom the Company shall disclose such information.

4. What type of information is covered by this Privacy Policy?
The Privacy Policy applies to information collected and processed by the Company consisting of the following:

4.1 Personal information is information related to a visitor or a combination of pieces of information that could reasonably allow him to be identified. Personal information may consist of full name, personal contact numbers, residential address, email address, gender or date of birth. While information such as date of birth in isolation may not be enough to uniquely identify the visitor, a combination of full name and date of birth may be sufficient to do so.

4.2. Sensitive personal data or information is such personal information that is collected, received, stored, transmitted or processed by the Company, consisting of:

5. Users Note

5.1. A condition of each User’s use of and access to the Platforms and other services provided by the Company to Users (collectively referred to as the “Services”), is his/her/its acceptance of the terms of use which also involves acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy. Any user who does not agree with any provisions of the Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy is advised not to accept the Terms of Use and may leave the Platforms.

5.2. While browsing the Platforms, a User is not required to provide personal information as set out under paragraph 4.1 and paragraph 4.2 until and unless such User chooses to avail or sign up for any of the Services. All the information provided to the Company by a User, including personal information and personally identifiable information, is voluntary. The User has the right to request the withdrawal of his/her/its consent at any time, following the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. The User has to ensure strict caution while giving out any personally identifiable information about himself/herself/itself or his/her family members in use of any of the Services. The Company does not endorse the content, messages or information found in any Services and therefore, the Company specifically disclaims any liability concerning the Services and any actions resulting from the User’s participation in any Services. As a condition to using the Services, you as a User agree to waive any claims against the Company relating to the same, and to the extent, such waiver may be ineffective, you agree to release any claims against the Company relating to the same.

5.3. Users can access, modify, correct and eliminate the data about him/her/it which has been collected according to his/her/its decision to become a User. Any grievances with the information shared by the User with the Company may be brought to the attention of grievance officer following clause 8 of this Privacy Policy.

For the use of the Services and purchase of Products, you may be required to pay the Company with a credit card, wire transfer, or debit card through the Company’s third-party payment gateway provider and such third party payment gateway provider may be required to collect certain financial information from you including, but not restricted to, your credit/debit card number or your bank account details (collectively referred to as “Financial Information”). All Financial Information collected from the Users’ by the Company’s third-party payment gateway providers will be used only for billing and payment processes. The verification of the Financial Information shall be accomplished only by the User through a process of authentication in which the Company shall have no role to play.

5.5. Personal information, personally identifiable information and / or Financial Information shall be collected by the Company on an ongoing basis, without need for further, separate consent from the User (aside from the acceptance of this Privacy Policy, as provided in paragraph 5.1) for one or more of the following reasons:

5.5.1. To identify the User, to understand his/her/its needs and resolve disputes, if any;

5.5.2. To set up, manage and offer products and to enhance the Services to meet the User’s requirements;

5.5.3. To provide ongoing service;

5.5.4. To meet legal and regulatory requirements;

5.5.5. To resolve technical issues and troubleshoot problems;

5.5.6. To aid the Company in collecting monies from Users for transactions carried out on the Platforms;

5.5.7. To keep Users apprised of the Company’s (or third parties’) promotions and offers;

5.5.8. To customize User experience;

5.5.9. To detect and protect the Company from error, fraud and other criminal activities;

5.5.10. To enforce the Terms of Use; and

5.5.11. Other reasons which, before being put into effect, shall be communicated to the Users through an update carried out to this Privacy Policy.

5.6. The Financial Information collected from the Users is transacted through secure digital platforms of approved payment gateways which are under encryption, thereby complying with reasonably expected technology standards. While the Company shall make reasonable endeavours to ensure that the User’s personal information and the Financial Information is duly protected by undertaking security measures prescribed under applicable laws, the User is strongly advised to exercise discretion while providing personal information or Financial Information while using the Services given that the Internet is susceptible to security breaches.

5.7. Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when a User visits the Platforms, the Company automatically receives the uniform resource locator of the site from which such User visits the Platforms, details of the website such User is visiting on leaving the Platforms, the internet protocol (“IP”) address of each User’s computer operating system, type of web browser the User is using, email patterns, and the name of the User’s internet service provider. This information is used solely to analyze overall User trends and to help the Company in improving its Services. Please note that the link between the User’s IP address and the User’s personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties without such User’s permission or except when required by law or to provide or facilitate the User with the Services. Notwithstanding the above, the User acknowledges the Company’s right to share some of the aggregate findings, including the personal information provided by the Users in an unidentifiable form, and not the specific data with advertisers, sponsors, investors, strategic partners, and others to help grow the business. The amount of information sent to the Company depends on the settings of the web browser used by the User to access the Platforms. 5.8. The Platforms use temporary cookies to store certain data. The Company does not store personally identifiable information in the cookies. Information collected by the Company, by any means whatsoever, that does not personally identify the User as an individual (such as patterns of utilization described above) is exclusively owned by the Company and may be used by the Company and third-party service providers for technical administration of the Platforms, user administration, research, development, and other purposes. These companies or entities include third party advertisement servers, advertisement agencies, advertisement technology vendors and research firms. The Company may target some advertisements to Users that fit a certain general profile. The Company does not use personally identifiable information to target advertisements to specific Users. In the course of serving advertisements or optimizing the Services to its Users, the Company may allow authorised third parties to place or recognize a unique cookie on the User’s browser.

5.11. The Company does not exercise control over the websites displayed as search results or links from within the Services. These other sites may place their cookies or other files on the Users’ computer, collect data or solicit personal information or Financial Information from the Users, for which the Company shall not be held responsible or liable. When a user visits or uses the Platforms, the Company may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store data about the User’s location, which may also include global positioning system coordinates or similar information regarding the location of the device using which the User has visited or used the Platforms. The location data does not collect or share any personally identifiable information about the User.

5.13. The Company may keep records of telephone calls received from and made to Users for the administration of Services, research and development, training, business intelligence, business development, or for User administration. The Company may share the telephone records with third parties when required by law or when required to provide or facilitate the User with the Services.

5.14. The Company may choose to conduct contests and surveys to collect relevant information about the Users’ preferences. These surveys and contests are optional and if the User chooses to respond, his/her/its responses will be kept anonymous. The demographic information that the User provides while availing or signing-up for the Services and through any surveys or contests is used to help the Company improve its services to meet the needs and preferences of Users.

5.15. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children (Only persons above the aged of 18 shall be permitted to use the Services as provided in the Terms of Use). In an event, wherein contravention of the Terms of Use, a person below the age of 18 uses the Services, the Company shall not be held liable or responsible for any damage or injury suffered by such person in logging into the Platforms and making use of the Services.

The Company has implemented security policies, rules and technical measures, as required under applicable law including firewalls, transport layer security and other physical and electronic security measures to protect the Financial Information and personal information that it has under its control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. It is expressly stated that the Company shall not be responsible for any breach of security or for any action of any third parties that receive Users’ data or events that are beyond the reasonable control of the Company including, acts of government, computer hacking, unauthorized access to computer data and storage device, computer crashes, breach of security and encryption, etc.

5.17. The Company may be required to disclose personal information or Financial Information to governmental institutions or authorities when such disclosure is requisitioned under any law or judicial decree or when the Company, in its sole discretion, deems it necessary to protect its rights or the rights of others, to prevent harm to persons or property, to fight fraud and credit risk, or to enforce or apply the Terms of Use.

5.18. The Company may share/use personal information and personally identifiable information provided by Users with the Other Parties for:

5.18.1. enabling Users to enjoy the Services and to use the Products, including sharing information with Other Parties to provide services, technical support etc. about the Products; or

5.18.2. detecting and preventing identity theft, fraud or any other potentially illegal acts; or

5.18.3. monitoring and enhancing User interest and engagement, including through promotional activity, personal messages to Users using personally identifiable information provided by Users, etc; or

5.18.4. processing the purchase of Products on the Platforms.

To the extent that Other Parties have access to the personal information, the Company shall make efforts to ensure that the Other Parties treat such personal information at least as protectively as they treat personally identifiable information obtained from their users or members.

5.19. The Company or the Other Parties may merge with or be acquired by another business entity. In such an event, the Company and the Other Parties may be required to transfer the personal information to such merging or acquiring party, as the case may be. While sharing such personal information with the acquiring or merging entity, as the case may be, the Company and the Other Parties shall make reasonable endeavours to ensure that the User’s personal information is duly protected by the acquiring or merging entity, as the case may be, by undertaking security measures prescribed under applicable laws.

5.20. The Company may also disclose or transfer the personal and other information provided by Users, to any third party as a part of reorganization or a sale of the assets, division or transfer of a part or whole of the company. Any third party to which the Company transfers or sells its assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that Users provide to the Company.

5.21. All the Company employees and data processors, who have access to and are associated with the processing of personal information or Financial Information provided by Users are obliged to respect the confidentiality of every User’s personal information or Financial Information.

5.22. The User’s visit to and/or use of the Platforms and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. The Company may update this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without advance notice. The Company shall not be required to notify the Users of any changes made to this Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility, in such cases, to review the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time.

5.23. All information collected from the Users by the Company is maintained in electronic form on servers and/or cloud systems and shall be accessible by certain employees of the Company. Uoovip, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, having its registered office at Hong Kong ("UOOVIP") is a retail company which offers various retail solutions through its website www.uoovip.com and its mobile and tablet applications (“Platforms”) including online lifestyle, fashion and electronics solutions, which inter alia facilitates the sale and purchase of electronics, and lifestyle and fashion merchandise ("Products") by users of the Platforms ("Users").

2. What is this UOOVIP Promotions Policy?

2.1. UOOVIP from time to time, organises various promotions, contests, offers including discounts, vouchers, coupons, campaigns, and sales with respect to the Products sold on the Platforms. This UOOVIP Promotions Policy (“UOOVIP Promotions Policy”), together with the terms and conditions, the privacy policy, the fee and payments policy, and the delivery policy sets out UOOVIP’s procedures and policies in offering promotions, contests, offers, discounts, vouchers, coupons, campaigns and sales conducted by it on the Platforms from time to time (“Promotions”). In addition to this UOOVIP Promotions Policy, any return of the Products by Users shall also be governed by, and be subject to the terms and conditions set out under UOOVIP’s return and refund policy.

3. General Terms of Promotions

3.1. UOOVIP may, from time to time offer various Promotions to its Users to create, encourage and sustain User interest in the Products. It is specifically clarified that all discounts offered by UOOVIP as a part of its Promotions on the Products shall exclude all convenience charges including charges that may accrue on the delivery of the Products to the Users, if any.

3.2. UOOVIP reserves the right to introduce the Promotions (individually or collectively) at intervals of its choice. While the general terms of this Promotions Policy sets out UOOVIP’s terms and conditions governing all of its Promotions, UOOVIP may also provide separate terms governing each one of its Promotions. While choosing to participate in the Promotions, the Users are, apart from this Promotions Policy, requested to peruse and understand the terms which govern individual Promotions. UOOVIP may, at any time and without having to service any prior notice to the User, modify or delete its Promotions or the terms and conditions governing such Promotions.

3.3. UOOVIP may provide the Promotions on a select range or on all of its Products. The Promotions may also be applicable on any, or certain specific purchases carried out by the User on the Platforms. Further, without having to service any notice on the User, UOOVIP may withdraw all, or a part of its Promotions from the Platforms.

3.4. During the term of the Promotions, UOOVIP may offer the following offers on select Products on the Platforms: (a) Trade Discounts, and (b) Coupon Discounts (together, the “Discounts”). Notwithstanding the term of the Promotions, the Promotions will be operational only until stocks last, and UOOVIP shall reserve the unconditional right to modify, suspend, or cancel any promotion any time.

3.5. Trade discounts are regular discounts which are provided by UOOVIP for the benefit of Users from time to time. The trade discounts are independent of any Promotions, and will be extended to only a select range of Products as indicated on the Platforms (“Trade Discounts”). The Trade Discounts shall offer discounts up to a certain percentage on the maximum-retail price (“MRP”) of the Products, and the User will only be required to pay the MRP of the Product as reduced by the amount of Trade Discount (“List Price”). The range of Trade Discounts offered on a Product may increase or decrease at any time during the term of the Promotions at the sole discretion of UOOVIP, and UOOVIP shall not be required to serve a prior written notice intimating such change in the range of discounts to the Users.

3.6. In addition to the Trade Discounts, UOOVIP will also offer discount vouchers or coupon discounts on a select range of Products as indicated on the Platforms (“Coupon Discounts”). All Products available for sale on the Coupon Discount, may not necessarily have an applicable Trade Discount, and any combination thereof with Trade Discounts shall be at the sole discretion of UOOVIP.

3.7. From time to time, UOOVIP will also offer discount for Products under the Buy X Get Y Offer (“BX GY Offer”), under which upon purchase of a certain quantity of Products (“X”), Users will be offered a 100% discount on the List Price of certain other quantity of Products (“Y”), such discount being applicable to Products with the lowest List Price amongst the chosen Products. The benefit availed by a User from the discounted Products would be apportioned amongst the Products purchased on a weighted average basis. Accordingly, in case of return of any Product purchased under the BX GY Offer, the refund payable by UOOVIP on such Product would be the value of the Product calculated on a weighted average basis. The number and catalogue of Products available under the BX GY Offer will be displayed on the Platforms from time to time, at its sole discretion.

3.8. From time to time, UOOVIP will also offer discounts for Products under the Buy A at B offer (“BA AB Offer”), under which upon purchase of a certain quantity of Products (“A”), Users will be offered the bundle of products at a pre-decided bundle price (“B”). The benefit availed by a User from the bundled promotion would be apportioned amongst the Products purchased on a weighted average basis. Accordingly, in case of return of any Product purchased under the BA AB Offer, the refund payable by UOOVIP on such Product would be the value of the Product calculated on a weighted average basis. The number and catalogue of Products available under the BA AB Offer will be displayed on the Platforms from time to time, at UOOVIP’s sole discretion.

3.9. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, a User shall at no time during the term of the Promotions, be eligible to receive Discounts on a Product which cumulatively exceed 41% of the MRP of such Product. If the User attempts to purchase any Product on the Platforms for which applicable Discounts cumulatively exceed 41% of the MRP of such Product, UOOVIP will automatically reduce the amount of Discounts on such Product to 41% of the MRP of such Product.

3.10. If UOOVIP partners with any third party in connection with a promotion, any terms and conditions of such promotion provided by the third party will also be applicable on such promotion.

3.11. UOOVIP reserves the right to cancel any purchase of the Products carried out using means including, but not limited to, invalid or unauthorized use of Discounts on the Platforms. UOOVIP shall at all times have the right to initiate appropriate legal proceedings against any website, entity or individual engaged in unauthorized publication of information pertaining to the Discounts. The Discounts are non-transferable and have no cash value.

3.12. UOOVIP reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of any of the promotions offered on the Platforms at any time without assigning any reasons, and without any prior intimation to the Users.

3.13. Cancellation of Products: Subject to paragraph 3.2 of UOOVIP’s return and refund policy, if a User intends to cancel the purchase of a Product offered through a Promotion, and such cancellation has been accepted by UOOVIP, such User shall be entitled to a refund of the exact amount paid by the User for purchase of such Product or Products on the Platforms. By way of an illustration:

3.13.1. A User’s order reflects the purchase of a single Product whose is HK$2,000, with a Trade Discount of 20%, and a Coupon Discount of 20%, and the User makes an online payment of a sum of HK$1,280 at the time of placing the order on the Platforms. Upon cancellation of the Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$1,280. If the User had opted for ‘Cash on Delivery’ as the preferred mode of payment, the User will not be entitled to any refund upon cancellation.

3.13.2. A User’s order reflects the purchase of two Products: (a) the first Product whose MRP is HK$2,000, with a Trade Discount of 20%, and a Coupon Discount of 20%, totaling up to HK$ 1,280, and (b) the second Product whose MRP is HK$1,500, with no applicable Discounts. The User makes payment of a total amount of HK$ 2,780 through credit card at the time of placing the order on the Platforms. Upon cancellation of the first Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 1,280. Upon cancellation of the second Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 1,500. Upon cancellation of both the Products in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 2,780. 3.14. Upon return of the Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 1,280.

3.14.2. A User’s order reflects the purchase of two Products: (a) the first Product whose MRP is HK$ 2,000, with a Trade Discount of 20%, and a Coupon Discount of 20%, totaling up to HK$ 1,280, and (b) the second Product whose MRP is HK$ 1,500, with no applicable Discounts. Upon return of the first Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 1,280. Upon return of the second Product in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 1,500. Upon return of both the Products in accordance with the UOOVIP Promotions Policy, the User will be entitled to a refund of HK$ 2,780.

3.15. As a part of the Promotions, UOOVIP offers end of season sales from time to time (“EOS Sales”) which shall subsist only until stocks offered for EOS Sales last. The EOS Sales shall offer discounts on the MRP up to a certain percentage on select merchandise. The range of discounts offered on a Product or the Products may increase or decrease at any time during the EOS Sales at the sole discretion of UOOVIP and UOOVIP shall not be required to serve a prior written notice intimating such change in the range of discounts to the Users.

3.16. Promotions may be combined only at the sole discretion of UOOVIP. All Promotions are non-transferable and have no cash value. Without having to service a prior notice on the User, UOOVIP reserves the sole right to extend or terminate the Promotions.

3.17. If the performance of UOOVIP in respect of any of the promotions is prevented or delayed due to circumstances including but not limited to the incidence of computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, interception, fraud, technical failures, floods, fires, accidents, earthquakes, riots, explosions, wars, hostilities, acts of government or other circumstances of a similar nature beyond the control of UOOVIP, UOOVIP shall not be liable for the consequences of such non-performance.

3.18. By the User’s participation in the Promotions, the User agreed to indemnify and hold harmless UOOVIP, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, licensors, agents and representatives from any and all claims including reasonable attorney fees and costs arising out of the User’s participation in the Promotions.

4. Terms of Specific Promotions

4.1. UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer

4.1.1. The UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer is a promotional offer made by UOOVIP in relation to sale of specified products displayed on the Platforms ("Specified Products").

4.1.2. The UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer will commence on at 12:00 AM on 1st Feb 2020, and continue until 11:59 PM on 29 February 2020, or such other date as may be decided by UOOVIP at its sole discretion ("Term of the UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer").

4.1.3. Users who register on UOOVIP during the Term of the UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer (“Eligible Users”) will receive UOOVIP points worth HK$ 500 credited to their UOOVIP wallets (“UOOVIP 500 Credit”) which may be used to avail a discount not exceeding 5% of the total cart value of the Specified Products purchased on the Platforms.

4.1.4. The UOOVIP 500 Credit must be redeemed within 30 days from the time the UOOVIP 500 Credit is credited to the UOOVIP wallet. Any unutilized UOOVIP 500 Credit will be revoked by UOOVIP after the expiry of 30 days from the time the UOOVIP 500 Credit is credited to the UOOVIP wallet.

4.1.5. The UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer cannot be combined with any other promotions offered by UOOVIP.

4.1.6. In case of any returns of the Specified Products purchased by the Eligible Users under the UOOVIP 500 Credit Offer, UOOVIP will have the sole discretion to decide whether the UOOVIP 500 Credit will be credited to the Eligible Users. The decision of UOOVIP in this regard will be final.

4.1.7. UOOVIP reserves the right to cancel the orders placed by Eligible Users if the transaction is found to be of fraudulent nature.

4.3.4. UOOVIP Everyday Top Shopper Contest:

4.4.3. All the Users registered on the Platforms and any User who registers on the Platforms during the Term of the UOOVIP 500 PAYDAY SALE Credit Offer (“Eligible Users”) will receive UOOVIP points worth HK$ 500 credited to their UOOVIP wallets (“UOOVIP 500 PAYDAY SALE Credit”) which may be used to avail a discount not exceeding 10% of the total cart value of the Specified Products purchased on the Platforms.

4.5.3. Users will be eligible to avail the UOOVIP Pay Day Sale only if:

(a) Users make payment for purchase of the Specified Products using net banking or select credit / debit cards, as may be determined by UOOVIP; and

4.5.4. 4.7.3. As part of the FreeCharge Cashback Offer, Users will be eligible for a one-time flat cashback of HK$ 100 in the form of a gift instrument (“FreeCharge Gift Instrument”), which will be credited within 72 hours into their FreeCharge wallet, upon occurrence of the following:

Uoovip, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, having its registered office at Hong Kong ("UOOVIP") is a retail company which offers various retail solutions, including, through its website www.uoovip.com and its mobile and tablet applications ("Platforms") various online lifestyle, fashion and electronics solutions, which inter alia facilitates the sale and purchase of electronics, and lifestyle and fashion merchandise ("Products") by users of the Platforms ("Users").

2. What is this Return and Refund Policy?

2.1. In keeping with UOOVIP’s goal of ensuring User satisfaction, this return and refund Policy (“Return and Refund Policy”), together with the terms of use, sets out UOOVIP’s procedures and policies in accepting Product returns, once a Product has been delivered to a User after purchase from the Platforms. Any return of Products by Users shall be governed by and subject to the terms and conditions set out under this Return and Refund Policy.

2.2. Users are required to peruse and understand the terms of this Return and Refund Policy. If you do not agree to the terms contained in this Return and Refund Policy, you are advised not to accept the Terms of Use and may forthwith leave and stop using the Platforms. 3.1. If the User is dissatisfied with the purchased Product received from UOOVIP, or in the event where there are defects and deficiencies in the Product (attributable to, and accepted by UOOVIP after due verification at its sole discretion), a User may initiate a request for returning the Product on the Platforms. The User shall initiate such requests for a return not later than (a) 7 (seven) days from the date on which he/she received the delivery of the Product but VIP Client has 15 days. In case of any Products. While raising a request for return on the Platforms, the User shall have the option to seek a refund of the money paid by him/her towards the purchase of the Product. The User will be required to produce a copy of the original invoice at the time of placing a request for return or exchange of Products. The User shall ensure that the Product(s) being returned comply with the conditions set out under this Return and Refund Policy and are, among other conditions, unused, unwashed, with price tags intact, all packaging material undamaged and unused. Such returned Product(s) should not carry stains, sweat, detergent, or body odour. UOOVIP reserves the right to alter and enforce this Return and Refund Policy at any time without having to serve a prior notice on the User.

3.2. A User is permitted to fully or partially cancel orders prior to its dispatch from UOOVIP. Upon successfully placing an order on the Platforms and after UOOVIP has successfully handed over the Product(s) to its Logistic Partner (as defined in the Delivery Policy), the User will receive a unique tracking identity number, which will enable the User in tracking the status of delivery of the purchased Products. Prior to the dispatch of the purchased Products, should the User decide to cancel the purchase, the User can do so by referencing the unique tracking identity number received by the User and requesting UOOVIP to process a cancellation by sending an email to uoovip@gmail.com. In all events of cancellation, prior to the dispatch of the purchased Products, UOOVIP shall initiate refunds within 2 (two) business days from the date on which it received the request from the User. The refund will reflect in the User’s bank account and/or the User’s UOOVIP Wallet (as defined in the Fees and Payments Policy) within such reasonable time (subject to the policies of the User’s bank in case of bank account/credit card refunds) from the date on which UOOVIP initiates the refund. All refunds, except for refund to UOOVIP Wallet, shall be subject to applicable charges as may be deducted by the User’s bank.

3.3. If a User has purchased Products which form a part of a package of other Products, or if the Product forms a part of a promotional package (collectively, the “Bundled Package”), the User shall be required to return all the Products that form a part of the Bundled Package for UOOVIP to process refunds. For illustrative purposes, if the User has purchased a handbags and a pair of earrings as 1 (one) Product in a promotional package, the User will be required to return both the shirt and the pair of pants and will not be permitted to return either only the shirt or only the pair of pants from the Bundled Package.

3.4. Return of or refund for purchased Products shall not be entertained by UOOVIP if:

  • 3.4.1. The Product has been used for reasons apart from checking fit and comfort. If UOOVIP is satisfied that the Product has been used for reasons apart from checking fit and comfort, UOOVIP shall reserve the right to reject the return of the Product;

  • 3.4.2. The Product has been washed;

  • 3.4.3. The price tags, brand tags, box, original packaging material, and accompanying accessories have been damaged or discarded by the User;

  • 3.4.4. The serial number/IMEI number/bar code of the Product, as applicable, does not match UOOVIP’s records;

  • 3.4.5. The accessories delivered with the Product (such as chargers, earphones, user manuals, etc) are not returned along with the Product, in an undamaged condition;

  • 3.4.6. There are any dents, scratches, tears or any other damage to the Products or any part thereof;

  • 3.4.7. In the case of electronics, if the Products sought to be returned are not sealed in the poly jiffy bag provided by UOOVIP;

  • 3.4.8. The gifts accompanying the purchased Product have not been returned, or upon being returned, show signs of being used, washed, or defect; or

  • 3.4.9. UOOVIP is satisfied that the Product has been rendered defective or unusable.

3.5. UOOVIP shall not accept return or refund requests raised for any of the following Products:

  • 3.5.1. Lingerie, innerwear, and swimwear;

  • 3.5.2. Cosmetics;

  • 3.5.3. Deodorants and perfumes;

  • 3.5.4. Fashion jewellery;

  • 3.5.5. Socks and stockings;

  • 3.5.6. Gift vouchers issued by UOOVIP, if any; and

  • 3.5.7. Such other Products as may be specified by UOOVIP from time to time.

3.6. UOOVIP shall initiate a process of refund of the money paid by the User towards purchase of a Product, if upon conducting quality checks, it is satisfied that the Product being returned entitles the User to a refund. It is further clarified that the UOOVIP shall not be required to make any refund in respect of any Product that it deems ineligible for a refund based on such quality checks.

3.7. It is hereby clarified that in the case of electronics, notwithstanding anything to the contrary and subject to Clause 3.6 above, Products may be returned only in case of defects or deficiencies in the Product, and not for any other reason.

3.8. It is hereby clarified that in the case of toys, notwithstanding anything to the contrary and subject to Clause 3.6 above (a) Users cannot return certain Products which are specified as ‘non-returnable’ on the relevant Product pages of the Platforms, and (b) Products may be returned only in case of defects or damages in the Products, incorrect products shipped to the User, missing components and empty sealed packages, and not for any other reason.

3.9. It is expressly clarified that the refund entitled to by a User shall not include money paid towards shipping charges or any other such charges applicable from time to time, except in case of a Product having a defect at the time of delivery (for reasons attributable to, and accepted by UOOVIP after due verification at its sole discretion).

3.10. UOOVIP shall make all reasonable attempts to keep the User apprised of the status of refund through updates shared on the User’s registered mobile number and email address. UOOVIP disclaims all liabilities that may arise on account of its failure to keep the User apprised of the status of the refund.

3.11. In the event a User returns a Product that is not accompanied by the accessories, gifts or other items originally bundled with such Product, UOOVIP shall have the right, exercisable at its sole discretion, to (i) (a) refuse to accept the return of such Product, or (b) process any refund thereof, or (ii) deduct the amount payable in respect of such items from the amount of refund such User is entitled to.

3.12. UOOVIP shall, subject to the satisfactory completion of required quality checks on the returned Products, initiate a refund request. If the request for refund is undisputed by UOOVIP, the refund should reflect in the User’s bank account and/or the User’s UOOVIP Wallet within such reasonable time (subject to the policies of the User’s bank in case of bank account/credit card refunds) from the date on which UOOVIP initiates the refund.

3.13. Refunds shall be processed by UOOVIP through its normal banking channels except in cases where a User had utilised his/her UOOVIP Wallet for purchase of Products or opted for the cash on delivery option. Where a User had utilised his/her UOOVIP Wallet for payment towards the purchased Products, UOOVIP shall process all refunds only into the User’s creditUOOVIP Wallet. Where a User had opted for cash on delivery option for payment towards the purchased Products, UOOVIP shall process all refunds into either the User’s UOOVIP Wallet or the Users’ valid bank accounts, if details of such accounts are provided by the User to UOOVIP at the time of refund. Further, should the User have used more than 1 (one) payment option for the purchase of Products on the Platforms, UOOVIP shall process all refunds through a Payment Option (as defined in the Fees and Payments Policy) UOOVIP deems fit, in its sole discretion, to process such refunds. Once the amount is refunded into a User’s UOOVIP Wallet, it cannot be further refunded to any other bank account or as cash, and would continue to remain in the User’s UOOVIP Wallet until exhausted for shopping on the Platforms.

For the purpose of illustration, if a User purchases a Product worth HK $1,000 (Hong Kong Dollar One thousand) and pays HK$500 (Hong Kongn Dollar Five hundred) for the purchase of such Product using balances in his/her UOOVIP Wallet, and the remaining HK$500 through his credit card, and such amount is to be refunded pursuant to the refund criteria set out under this Return and Refund Policy being met, then UOOVIP may choose to refund, at its sole discretion, HK$500 (Hong Kongn Dollar Five hundred) to such User’s UOOVIP Wallet and the remaining HK$500 (Hong Kongn Dollar Five hundred) to the User’s credit card source account, or both the amounts only to such User’s UOOVIP Wallet.

3.14. Return of purchased Products are facilitated through UOOVIP’s reverse-logistics partners. Upon a User making a request for return of Product on the Platforms and the same being duly acknowledged by UOOVIP, UOOVIP’s reverse-logistics partners shall get in touch with the User in order to collect the purchased Products from the User and delivering it to UOOVIP. While UOOVIP has made reasonable endeavours to ensure delivery and pick-ups across multiple locations in Hong Kong, currently, UOOVIP has a select list of areas where deliveries and collection can be undertaken by its reverse-logistics partners. In events where UOOVIP is unable to facilitate a pick-up of the purchased Product for return from the User, the User is required to self-ship the Product to UOOVIP’s warehouse. Upon self-shipping the Product to UOOVIP’s warehouse, the User shall be required to scan the courier/postal receipt to uoovip@gmail.com for UOOVIP’s records. 3.15. In the event where the User claims to have self-shipped the Product in accordance with the process set out in paragraph 3.9 above and UOOVIP does not receive the returned Product or the package containing such Product is empty, the User shall be required to submit the ‘proof of delivery’ received from the courier/postal agency to UOOVIP to prove his/her claim of return of Products through self-shipment to UOOVIP. It is specifically clarified that any refunds or exchange shall be processed by UOOVIP only upon it receiving the returned Products and concluding required quality checks or receiving the ‘proof of delivery’ from the User, as the case may be.

Payment Methodes


1. Who is UOOVIP?

Uoovip, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, having its registered office at Hong Kong ("UOOVIP") is a retail company which offers various retail solutions, including, through its website www.uoovip.com and its mobile and tablet applications ("Platforms") various online lifestyle, fashion and electronics solutions, which inter alia facilitates the sale and purchase of electronics, and lifestyle and fashion merchandise ("Products") by users of the Platforms ("Users").

2. What is this Fees and Payments Policy?

2.1. This fees and payments policy (“FPP Policy”), together with the terms of use describes UOOVIP’s accepted payment methods, and UOOVIP’s policies and procedures in relation to acceptance of fees and payments towards the services offered through the Platforms. UOOVIP’s primary object is to ensure that the Platforms are user friendly and equipped with reasonably expected security infrastructure to protect any financial information which may be shared by Users.

2.2. Users are required to peruse and understand the terms of this FPP Policy. If you do not agree to the terms contained in this FPP Policy, you are advised not to accept the Terms of Use and this FPP Policy and may forthwith leave and stop using the Platforms. The terms contained in this FPP Policy shall be accepted without modification and accordingly, you agree to be bound by the terms contained herein.

3. Fees and Payment Options

3.1. UOOVIP does not levy any fee for browsing the Platforms. UOOVIP may, in future, consider levying fees on the Users for using the Platforms as a whole, or for use of certain features of the Platforms. In such an event, you agree to pay any such fees, as applicable. UOOVIP does not covenant or guarantee providing you with a notice prior to enforcing such a levy of fees. Your continued usage of the Platforms after such change in the fees will be considered to be your acceptance of such changes.

3.2. In order to ensure User convenience, UOOVIP offers multiple payment options to Users. UOOVIP, without prior notice to Users, reserves the right to add or delete payment options from the ones listed below:

  • 3.2.1. Payment through net banking facilities;
  • 3.2.2. Payment through select credit cards;
  • 3.2.3. Payment through select debit cards;
  • 3.2.4. Payments through cash on delivery;
  • 3.2.5. Payment through UOOVIP’s native closed loop prepaid payment instrument (“UOOVIP Wallet”);
  • 3.2.6. Payments through prepaid payment instruments and electronic wallets;
  • 3.2.7. Payment through equated monthly instalments (“EMI”);
  • 3.2.8. Any other payment option as may be provided by UOOVIP from time to time.

The payment options referred to above shall hereinafter collectively be referred to as “Payment Options”. While reasonable endeavours are made to offer the Payment Options through varied banking channels, presently, UOOVIP accepts payments only from major, select banking avenues. The list of banking channels from which UOOVIP presently accepts payments have been set out under the Frequently Asked Questions which may be accessed here. UOOVIP does not accept payments made through international debit/credit cards.

3.3. It is expressly clarified that accepting a User’s payment through the Payment Options is solely at UOOVIP’s discretion. UOOVIP reserves the right to reject payment from a User through the Payment Options for any reason whatsoever. In order to further validate a User’s transaction, UOOVIP may request the User to submit a copy of the User’s photo identity proof (such as the User’s PAN card), failing which, UOOVIP reserves the right to reject a User’s payment made through the Payment Options.

3.4. While using the Payment Options, Users agree to provide correct, complete and accurate financial information such as credit/debit card details or prepaid payment instrument account details which may be stored by UOOVIP’s third party payment gateway provider. Users shall not use a credit/debit card or prepaid instrument which is not lawfully owned by him/her or which the User has not been lawfully authorised to use. The User shall solely be responsible for the security and confidentiality of his/her financial information. UOOVIP disclaims all liabilities that may arise as a consequence of any unauthorised use of the User’s financial information and/or identity, including, details relating the Payment Options.

3.5. UOOVIP shall not be held responsible and shall not assume any liability in respect of any loss or damage suffered by a User owing to:

  • 3.5.1. a lack of authorisation for any transaction, including such transactions carried out on gift cards and vouchers issued to Users as a part of UOOVIP’s promotions;
  • 3.5.2. the exceeding of the credit/debit limit mutually agreed between the User and the issuing bank;
  • 3.5.3. any payment issue arising out of technical glitches occurring during a transaction; or
  • 3.5.4. a declination of transaction for reasons beyond UOOVIP’s control.

3.6. UOOVIP reserves the right to impose limits on the number of transactions a User may undertake over the Platforms. Should the User exceed such transaction limits imposed by UOOVIP, UOOVIP reserves the right to refuse to process such transactions. UOOVIP may refuse to process transactions emanating from Users who have suspicious or questionable transaction history on the Platforms. Should UOOVIP be dissatisfied with the credibility of a User or the genuineness of a transaction carried out on the Platforms, UOOVIP shall have the right to reject such transactions. UOOVIP may also choose to delay the dispatch of Products purchased by such Users or cancel the entire purchase at its sole discretion. The User agrees that UOOVIP shall not be liable for any damage, interests or claims resulting from UOOVIP’s decision to not process a transaction or delay in the processing of a transaction on account of a User’s suspicious activity on the Platforms.

3.7. Unless specified otherwise, all the Products listed on the Platforms shall be sold in Hong Kongn Rupees either at maximum retail price or at an offer or discounted price, with or without applicable taxes. Despite UOOVIP’s best efforts, there may be instances of mispricing of Products on the Platforms during or after the process of purchase of Products has been carried out by the User. While thorough processes of verification are carried out prior to the publication of Product prices on the Platforms, errors and discrepancies arising out of technical glitches and time lags is unavoidable. For avoidance of doubt, UOOVIP’s curative actions that will arise in the event of a price difference arising on the actual maximum retail price of a Product against the price published on the Platforms is set out below:

  • 3.7.1. If the maximum retail price of the Product delivered to the User is lower than the price published on the Platforms, the User shall, within 24 (twenty four) hours from the time when he/she received the Product, intimate UOOVIP by calling 17313009009 or by writing to uoovip@gmail.com, in each case resulting in an acknowledgment. Upon UOOVIP being satisfied of the User’s claim, the difference in the purchase price against the maximum retail price shall be refunded into the User’s UOOVIP Wallet or transferred into the User’s bank account within 1 (one) day from the date of receiving the written notice from the User.
  • 3.7.2. If the maximum retail price of the Product listed on the Platforms is higher than what has been published and if UOOVIP is not providing an offer or discount on such Products, UOOVIP shall have the right to reserve the despatch of the purchased Products until the error on the Platforms have been rectified and the User pays the difference amount. If the User refuses to pay the difference, the User is entitled to seek a cancellation and the monies paid by the User shall be refunded into the User’s UOOVIP Wallet or transferred into the User’s bank account within 7 (seven) days by UOOVIP.
  • 3.7.3. In order to process such refunds, the User will be required to send an email to UOOVIP at uoovip@gmail.com. Thereafter, the User will receive a refund if the initial mode of payment for the order was ‘cash on delivery’. If the initial mode of payment for the order was through a Payment Option other than the ‘cash on delivery’ option, UOOVIP may transfer the refund to the User’s source account that was used to make the initial payment.

3.8. To enable Users to make payments for buying Products on the Platforms, in addition to this FPP Policy, the terms and conditions of the User’s bank, applicable financial institution and/or card issuing association may be applicable. The User’s bank, financial institution or card issuing association may decline or prevent the User from making electronic payments for buying the Products on the Platforms and UOOVIP does not control the same and hence, shall not be at any point in time held liable.

3.9. UOOVIP may, from time to time contract with third party payment service providers including banks, to open nodal bank accounts under applicable Hong Kongn laws. This will be done to facilitate the payments between Users and other third parties, apart from UOOVIP. These third parties may include other service providers including payment aggregators, prepaid instrument providers, courier and logistic service providers etc. Upon successful delivery of the Products purchased by you through the Platforms, UOOVIP shall initiate payments to third party service providers.

3.10. If it is brought to the User’s notice that a charge has been created on his/her payment instrument(s) for purchase of Product(s) on the Platforms and the User is not aware of such purchase on the Platforms, the User is first, required to verify if his/her family members, friends or business colleagues were authorised to carry out the purchase of Product(s) on the Platforms. If, despite this, the User continues to be unable to identify the charge created on his/her payment instrument(s) for purchase of Product(s) on the Platforms, the User may report such unauthorised purchase to UOOVIP within 30 (thirty) days from the date on which the unauthorised purchase was carried out on the Platforms in order to enable UOOVIP initiate investigations.

3.11. If the User carries out a purchase on the Platforms and the payment in lieu thereof has been invalidated, UOOVIP reserves the right to retrieve the invalidated payment (“Invalidated Payment”) from the User’s UOOVIP Wallet. Should the User have insufficient balance in his/her UOOVIP Wallet in order to facilitate such redemption of the Invalidated Payment, the User shall within 5 (five) business days from the date of receiving a written notice from UOOVIP, remit the Invalidated Payment into UOOVIP’s bank account, details of which shall be set out in the notice. If the User fails to remit the Invalidated Payment into UOOVIP’s bank account despite having received the notice, UOOVIP shall be entitled to initiate civil and/or criminal legal action against the defaulting User at his/her cost and peril.

3.12. Cash on Delivery: The ‘cash on delivery’ Payment Option allows Users to make a cash-only payment to UOOVIP’s delivery executive or logistic partner at the time of delivery of the purchased Product to the User. Presently, UOOVIP offers a maximum order value of HK$50,000 (Hong Kongn Dollar Fifty Thousand) under the cash on delivery Payment Option. UOOVIP reserves the right not to provide cash on delivery Payment Option for certain Products (these could be Products specified by UOOVIP or Products with value exceeding a specified amount) or locations. Users are required to peruse and accept the terms set out under the Return and Refund Policy which sets out the terms of refunds for transactions carried out using the cash on delivery Payment Option.

3.13. UOOVIP Wallet: The ‘UOOVIP Wallet’ payment option is a closed loop prepaid payment instrument provided by UOOVIP on the Platforms in order to facilitate the payment only for purchase of Products. If a User cancels an order for which payment has already been made to UOOVIP, the User shall have an option to credit the monies paid towards the order into his/her UOOVIP Wallet. In addition to paragraph 3.7.3 above, any and all refunds with respect to Product(s) purchased through the ‘cash on delivery’ Payment Option may be transferred into the User’s UOOVIP Wallet. The balance lying in a User’s UOOVIP Wallet can be used by such User for future purchases only on the Platforms,and will not be refunded back to the User unless permitted under applicable laws.In the eventuality of a User wishing to deactivate his/her account with UOOVIP, the User agrees that all monies lying in the User’s UOOVIP Wallet, if any, will automatically stand forfeited, and UOOVIP will not be required to process any refunds in any manner whatsoever. The User therefore agrees to use and exhaust any balance in his/her UOOVIP Wallet prior to requesting for a deactivation of his/her account on the Platforms. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, any refund of store credit to customers will be at the sole discretion of UOOVIP. If UOOVIP suspects any fraudulent activities, UOOVIP reserves its right to hold back transfer of any store credits to customers.

3.14. Promotional activities. UOOVIP may, at its sole discretion, credit monies into the Users’ UOOVIP Wallets pursuant to discounts offered by it or specified third parties as a part of various promotional events organised by UOOVIP from time to time, and subject to such terms and conditions as notified by UOOVIP at the time of such promotions. Such promotions may be structured in any manner as may be decided by UOOVIP in its sole discretion. For example, the accounts of the Users may be credited with virtual points/coins based on the terms and conditions of various promotions, and a specified number of such points/coins may translate into discounts offered to the Users (by way of credit of monies into the Users’ UOOVIP Wallets) at certain specified/pre-determined events.

3.15. EMI: The EMI Payment Option allows Users to make staggered payments for the purchase of Products from the Platforms. The EMI Payment Option can be availed only for the purchase of Products with a minimum cart value of HK $100 (Hong Kongn One hundred). The EMI Payment Option is only available for payment through credit cards issued by selected banks as specified on the Platforms. The terms and conditions of the relevant banks shall be applicable on all payments made by Users using the EMI Payment Option, and UOOVIP will not be responsible or liable for any issues or claims arising from the use of this Payment Option.

If you are missing part of your order, please check:
Your dispatch email, if your order is going to be sent in multiple parts then your dispatch email will only include some of the items you ordered, you will then get another dispatch email. You will also receive multiple tracking numbers. The receipt/invoice in the bag, this will show the items you should have received in this parcel. If you have everything that is on the invoice the rest of your order will come separately. Your PLT parcel packaging, if your order is arriving in multiple parcels then there will be a sticker on the bag to let you know the order has been split. If you are missing items from your order and your dispatch email and invoice show all items on your order, then please get in touch with our customer services team HERE. Make sure to let them know your order number and which items were missing.




DO YOU DELIVER TO PO BOXES?


The express shipping services for USA & Canada cannot make deliveries to PO Box addresses. Please use an alternative shipping address or select the DHL or Saver shipping service.

Yes, you can have your parcel delivered to an alternative address; however, this needs to be done at the time of purchase. When filling out Billing address simply untick the box that says ‘Deliver to same address’ you will then be given the option to enter a different shipping address. If this is a business address, always make sure you include the name of the company or organisation in the address field as well as the contact name to ensure your parcel is successfully delivered.




DO I NEED TO SIGN FOR MY PARCEL?


If you or a neighbour is home to accept the order, then a signature will be required. If nobody is home to receive the parcel, the shipping company will leave a card saying that they have attempted to deliver, and provide you with details on where the parcel has been delivered to. If there are no safe places or available neighbours, the courier will notify you and attempt re-deliver the next working day.
